2026 Available Positions
As our farm grows, we are hiring for 3 positions for the 2026 season.
While these positions are detailed below, they can also be adapted based on interest and experience.
The 3 roles we are looking for are:
o Crew Member: Work to harvest, wash, pack, and market 50 different types of vegetables and complete other growing related activities.
o Lead tractor operator: Use and maintain all equipment on the farm to grow great crops.
o Production Manager: Lead our production related activities to grow healthy crops, including the responsibilities of the lead tractor operator for someone with significant growing experience.
Farm Vision
Tributary farm uses organic practices to grow mixed vegetables for our summer and winter CSAs, wholesale accounts, and donations. In 2025 we grew about 10 acres of vegetables and 30 acres of cover crops. We seek to have farm that is defined by diversity, innovation, long-term thinking, and community. We measure success by our ability to:
· Sustain a healthy and diverse client base and team with great food and community
· Build soil and ecosystem health
· Turn a profit
2025 Marketing outlets:
· Main Season CSA ~ 460 members
· Winter CSA ~ 235 members
· Wholesale – In the main season we deliver to 5-10 local accounts including 1 distributor
· Weekly donations to local food pantries
· Farm Store open during CSA hours
Crew Member
Role and Responsibilities
Harvest, wash, and pack 50 different types of vegetables
Run CSA distribution as part of a 3-person team (Check in, restocking, store sales). CSA pickup happens on Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Complete other farm tasks when harvest is done.
These include hand weeding, transplanting, cultivation, green house seeding, and building projects.
Be an all-around team player and step in where needed.
We will invest in your professional development as a farmer.
As our farm continues to grow positions can evolve to take on increased complexity.
Start Date and hours:
Ideally, we would like this position to start between March 31, 2025, and April 14, 2026, though we are open to discussing a later date for the right candidate
This can be a seasonal full-time or part time position from April through November. Full time is preferred but part time is also available 2-5 days per week (the farm is open Monday-Saturday)
Full time: 40 – 44 hours per week, more in season hours are possible if desired.
We ask for a verbal commitment for the entire season through Thanksgiving.
Compensation
Hourly wage is $20 -22/ hr. depending on experience
All you can eat vegetables.

5 paid Sick days per year (accumulated)
5 unpaid Vacation days per year (accumulated) from April - November. More unpaid vacation is possible depending on the season, but especially over winter.
There is potential for an end of season bonus if we reach our profitability targets

Lead Tractor Operator
Role and Responsibilities
Execute weekly field plan with guidance from Farm Manager or production manager
Use and maintain all equipment on the farm
We have 2 larger tractors 76hp and 90hp, a cultivating tractor and walk behind tractor.
These tractors run many various implements for bed preparation, fertilization, transplanting, cultivation, Irrigation, harvesting, mowing, and cover crop management
Train others on safe and efficient tractor work
As full-time crew member when there is enough time, you’ll have a hand in other aspects of the farm and will step in where needed.
This could include harvesting, green house seeding, weeding, wash & pack, building projects.
We will invest heavily in your professional development as a farmer.
As our farm continues to grow positions can evolve to take on increased complexity.
Start Date and hours:
Ideally, we would like this position to start on March 10, 2025, though we are open to discussing a different start date (earlier or later) for the right candidate
This can be a full-time year around position with lighter hours in the winter months or a seasonal full-time job from March through November.
General hours are as follows.
December through March: 30 hours per week.
April through November: 40 – 44 hours per week, more in season hours are possible if desired.
We ask for a verbal commitment for the entire season through Thanksgiving.
Compensation
Hourly wage is $23 -26 hr. depending on experience

Production Manager
Role and Responsibilities
This position leads our production related activities to grow healthy crops.
Planning
Make the field production and irrigation plan for the week
Use the crop plan to stay on top of field preparation and update field records for transplanting and direct seeding as crops hit the ground.
Work with other farm managers to ensure a coordinated weekly strategy depending on weather, harvests, field work, and irrigation needs. There are 4 other management positions currently on the farm.
Farm Manager – oversees the entire operation
Wash and pack / kitchen / farm store manager
CSA and Harvest Manager
Irrigation / Field Manager
Management
Lead morning meetings to provide the day’s production plan.
Manage lead tractor operator in their growing related work
Manage Irrigation Lead
Manage the crew in field-based activities that requiring equipment.
Transplanting, cultivation, moving row covers /netting, etc.
Our crew is a close-knit, hardworking but fun-loving team of 6-10 people depending on the time of year.

What we are Looking for
Everything listed in the lead tractor operator role.
3 years of experience on mixed vegetable farms with over 5 acres in production including at least 1 year of management/leadership experience on a vegetable farm.
Excellent knowledge of mixed vegetable production including soil fertility and soil health, equipment operation and maintenance, weed management, disease, and pest management, harvesting procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft excel and word, Gdrive, Sheets, and docs.
